The Association of Midland Artists comprises professional, semi-professional and aspiring artists, working in all media, and living and working throughout Warwickshire and neighbouring counties. We currently have members who focus on paint, pastel, drawing, collage, print, photography, textiles, ceramics, glass, jewellery, sculpture, and installation. Styles, philosophy, and approach range from realism to abstract, decorative to conceptual, traditional to new media. In addition, we have a small number of supporter members who are not actively practising as artists.
Members share a willingness to support and encourage each other. The aim is always for excellence.
We share our expertise via a programme of talks, workshops, seminars and, a new venture, master classes. Exhibitions, craft fairs, auctions, art sales and, of course, member pages on this web site, take our work to a wider audience. A Newsletter keeps members up to date with our and each other’s activities.
Our next speaker
Fine Artists, Anneka Reay will be our speaker at our Wednesday morning meeting on Wednesday 13th December.
"I make very detailed drawings using 0.05mm pens. I create imagery which reflects my investigation and research surrounding the human psyche - I do this in attempt to better understand relationships both within the self and with others. I'm particularly interested in the ideas surrounding connectivity and being separate."
Anneka will be speaking to us from 10.45 prompt in the Craft Room of Leamington Art Gallery
