Pat Carpenter

I was Post war an evacuee from London. I began to catch up with education attending medical school in 1948 (Lots of life drawing in Anatomy Room). After qualifying I spent  some years working in hospital. Then I moved to Coventry, where I met up with a group of people who were interested in art classes. We used an abandoned School Room in Leamington, where, over time, we had art history, oil painting sessions and even printing, Gradually these linked to form a Diploma in Painting.
THE AMA. was formed and we found Exhibition space in Theatre foyers etc. As a painter,  I enjoy portraiture and painting and drawing the Figure.
I use acrylic paints  and like good colour and will use collage when needed.  I have exhibited widely in the Midlands both as a solo artist , and in mixed Open Exhibitions.
